Michael J. Corrado Sr.

Michael J. Corrado a lifelong resident of Mt. Vernon passed away on Jan. 4, 2010. Michael was born in Mt. Vernon to Gaetano & Domenica Corrado on Feb. 21, 1922. He served in the United States Army during WWII. On August 2, 1947 he married Mary Tiso. Michael worked for Dellwood Dairy and after retirement worked as a security guard for the Eastchester Savings Bank.  He was a Volunteer Fireman in Engine Co. #4 (Mt. Vernon) and a 51 year member of WCVFA.      He is survived by his son Michael Corrado Deputy Chief MVFD, daughter in-law Victoria, daughter Janice Fox, son in-law Mark, two grandchildren Christopher and Michael and a great granddaughter Zoey. Michael was predeceased by his wife Mary on Nov. 26, 1977. He was also predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.      Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9pm.
