William J. Newell a life time resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y. passed away on September 5, 2010. He is now with his wife Catherine who passed in February of this year. Bill and Honey, as known by family and friends, were married for 64 years who enjoyed and laughed their way through life together. Bill was a member of the Uniontown Hose Co. #2 and would still count the whistles for a call when they rang.      They will be forever missed by their family, surviving son Chester C. Forrest and his wife MaryEllen, their daughter-in-law Leslie Forrest, wife to their late son Kenny who died in 2008. Their grandchildren Sherry, Lisa, Kim, Michele, Roxanne and Jamie. Their great grandchildren, Brianne, Jessica, Lauren, Rhys, MacKenzi, John Michael and Ty. Their grandchildren were the light of their lives Bill and Honey were happiest when their house was full of family and friends.      Visiting Thursday Sept 9, 2010 6:00-8:00P.M. Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. A church memorial will be held on September 18, 2010 for William and Catherine at 11A.M. at the First Reformed Church in Hastings, where both Bill and Honey were members of for over 64 years. .
